The snow starts around teatime on Saturday, so head to Found Herbal to try some new tea blends that are perfect for a cozy afternoon of watching the snow fall. Now that your knives have been sharpened (the Knife Sharpener visits tomorrow) you have no excuse not to cook. Grab some root vegetables from Sun Sprout and try your hand at sheet pan aloo gobi—Calcutta Kitchens shortcut to Indian-style potatoes and cauliflower. Here's the easy recipe: Heat oven to 425 F. Chop 1 potato and half a head of cauliflower (or any other root or cruciferous vegetable) into bite sized pieces. Slice 1 tomato. Add 4 tbsp olive oil, 2 tsp of Calcutta Kitchens Vegetable Masala and 1 tsp garam masala. Coat veggies well with oil, spices and salt to taste. Transfer to sheet pan or baking dish and roast for 10-15 min till slightly browned. Sprinkle with fresh, chopped cilantro. Serve alongside roasted chicken or in a whole grain bowl to complete the meal.
