The Hastings Farmers' Market is powered by volunteers who help in myriad ways, from setting up the market at 7 a.m. to answering shoppers' questions, selling T-shirts and tote bags, and supporting the new composting program. We can always use more hands, whether on Saturdays or behind the scenes to assist with marketing, event planning, educational outreach, and more.
There are opportunities of all kinds, for every talent and time commitment. If you'd like to join the team or learn more, please stop by the market tent or contact our volunteer coordinator, Kris Oser.
Our market has a long history of employing local students and residents. While we do not hire salespeople directly, we are happy to pass along résumés to our vendors when the need arises. If you are interested in selling for a vendor, please email your inquiry to the Market Director, Pascale Le Draoulec.
We are happy to host local community groups whose work aligns with the mission of the Hastings Farmers' Market. Please contact the Market Director, Pascale Le Draoulec, to schedule your visit. Please note that we do not allow groups to sell or give away food or drinks as a fundraiser.
The application period for the 2018 season is officially closed, though we will accept applications and keep them on file for any mid-season openings. You can fill out the application here.
Please know that we are a food-only market (except for plant-based soaps and lotions) and therefore we do not sell crafts of any kind. Also, as our mission statement indicates, we only sell food that is grown, raised, gathered, caught or produced locally. We do not allow multi-level marketing vendors or vendors who produce pet food.
