Heimat returns to the Market after a busy summer of harvesting and processing for a new batch of traditional German fruit liqueurs made with local ingredients. Stock up now for the holidays — bottles make for great gifts or keep them for yourself to make unique cocktails at your holiday party. Ute, the founder, is back from upstate New York, where she sourced her cranberries for the second batch of cranberry liqueur. In addition to the cranberry flavor, she’ll have her award-winning white peach liqueur, which she advises to mix with with a honey whiskey, apple cider, lemon juice and stick of cinnamon for an autumnal cocktail to unwind with on a Friday evening or serve at your Thanksgiving celebration.

As we enter the final stretch of the weekly market, we bid adieu to Dough Nation. This Saturday will be their final market with us until next spring. We’re so sad, we might have to have a lemon pie for breakfast and a Market pie for lunch! Speaking of the Market pie, our money is one Brussels sprouts as the main ingredient of their farewell pizza. Stop by their wood-fired mobile oven and see if we’re right!

We’d like to bring your attention to an oft-overlooked fall fruit... the pear. Wright’s has a few different varieties including Bosc, Bartlett, and Anjou. Pick some up for eating out of hand, slicing into salads and baking! They also make stunning minimalist centerpieces when arranged in a unique wooden bowl from C-Los Carpentry.

Al Indig performs from 10:30am-12:30pm.

See you at the Market!
