Olive oil and chutney at the market tomorrow...

If you're like me, eating salads like they're going out of style this summer, then chances are your  Kontoulis Olive Oil bottle is hitting bottom. Fortunately, Demetra Bouras, aka the "olive oil lady" has requested an extra visit to the market this month and she will be on the plaza tomorrow with her golden green nectar and her jars of tapenade as well as a new olive oil soap she's been experimenting with. Bombay Emerald Chutney Co. will also be there having missed their last visit due to a funeral. This should be welcome news to those of you who, like me, are down to scraping the bottom of that mint chutney jar...

A couple of  us on the market committee recently made this French green bean and potato salad recipe in the New York Times http://www.nytimes.com/recipes/12564/French-Potato-and-Green-Bean-Salad.html and RAVED about it. I can't wait to try it again with those skinny, dark green French-style green beans at the Taliaferro tent.

Don't forget: tomorrow is the first day of our Rise and Shine Yoga Class taught by Celine Suarez on the sout side of the Library from 8 to 9 a.m. Get a few sun salutations in before you shop. The class is free & open to teens and adult of all levels. Please bring your own mat.

In the housekeeping department, a reminder to be mindful about recycling while at the market please.

If you can't squeeze those pizza boxes into the paper recycling can please return them to the Dough Nation station where David DiBari and his staff (yes, that's his mom taking your order every Saturday) will be happy to recycle it for you.

Also: please remember to park at the train station!
