December 1st Market News
MARKET NEWS
Our Winter Market begins tomorrow with shorter hours and a leaner vendor list. We are still outside in December and thankfully tomorrow the temperatures start inching up. Though we are lighter on vegetables—Taliaferro, Morgiewicz, and Climax don't have enough green- and hoophouse production to sustain markets—the parking lot will still be packed with many of your favorites and even some new vendors! In addition to winter greens, root vegetables, and apples, we will also be stocked with cheese, bread, charcuterie, sausage, chicken, lamb, kombucha, coffee, herbal remedies, prepared foods, and more.
New Vendors
This season we are introducing new vendors and products to the market. Tomorrow we are delighted to welcome Bambino Ravioli Pastifico. This family business from Long Island has been making over 30 varieties of ravioli and other fresh pastas for three generations. Their ravioli makes for an easy weeknight meal-throw on some of Sun Sprout's tomato sauce or make a simple one with butter and sage.
New Castle Scone is also joining us tomorrow with delicious sweet and savory scones. Grab a few for Sunday brunch along with monkey bread from new vendor Wave Hill Breads.
Looking for some herbal remedies to keep you healthy this winter? Blessed Brew is returning with healthy-for-your-gut kombuchas, fire tonics for colds, and a new heart oxymel made with apple cider vinegar, honey, rose petals, and strawberries from Fishkill Farms.
