eat your peas!

if you can get some...that is. I am always amazed at how quickly they disappear from the Taliaferro Farm display. No sooner has Pete Taliaferro Jr. finished unloading a crate on his table, they're gone! If you're lucky enough to score some considering making this pea and mint spread. The perfect thing to slather on some Bien Cuit bread, maybe even with some crumbled goat cheese or ricotta, with a drizzle of honey or Kontoulis olive oil (here this week).  I, for one, plan to try this Saveur recipe  for sauteed cod on a bed of creamy peas.
