How much garlic do you need for a salad that serves 600????????

"None" says Sophie Morgiewicz of Morgiewicz Produce.But there will be hundreds of radishes, tomatoes and cucumbers. Sophie won't be at the market tomorrow (no worries, the rest of the family will) because she'll be chopping veggies for a Gargantuan salad for a big celebration at her church tomorrow night. Sarah of Mtn. Smokehouse Products won't be here because her daughter Violet, 4, is in a ballet recital and the entire Smokehouse staff is taking the day off to witness her big tutu debut. (No worries - Roaming Angus is back with lots of sausage and pork cuts). If you had any doubts that we are a "family" market...

No doubt many of you will be cooking with your families this weekend: maybe a big celebration for a newly-minted grad. Or a memorable home-cooked meal for someone heading to sleep-away camp. We hope you will  get everything you need at the market. This week, the zucchini are in!  Lots of bok choy (great on the grill) and gorgeous cauliflower heads and tomatoes.

The knife sharpener is here this weekend so don't forget to bring your knives and pruning shears. I'm guessing Sophie Morgiewicz will have a couple of dull knives to bring him after tomorrow...
