Last weekly Market of 2016. Just in time for Thanksgiving!

Tomorrow is our last weekly market. Before we get into the list of amazing products and produce available tomorrow, please, please, please think about members of our community who depend on the Hastings Food Pantry for their daily meals. We will be accepting donations at the bottom of the stairs and at the market tent. It would be wonderful if we could make tomorrow's donation the largest of the season. We also accept cash donations- last month we were able to donate ground meat for the first time thanks to a very generous patron. For those of you picking up turkeys from Southtown Farms or Stone & Thistle Farm look for their tents closer to the driveway for easier pick up. If you need to help loading your turkey, please visit the market tent. We will allow a limited number of cars for brief pick ups. If you're still looking for a turkey, there might be some extras but you MUST come early if you have any hope of procuring one.

Putting together a cheese plate? A stop at Painted Goat Farm is a must. Try one of their seasonal flavors: Cranberry Orange or Rosemary Pecan. Some Casa Del Caciocavallo Farms cheese is also a cheese to try. This unique, hard cheese will surprise and delight even the most experienced foodie. Round out the offerings with some local Hudson Valley cheeses via Dobbs & Bishop Fine Cheese and saucisson sec from Larchmont Charcuterie.

If you're looking for apple cider, head to The Orchards of Concklin stand early- on a usual day they sell out by 11am so tomorrow we anticipate an early run on this Thanksgiving staple. They, along with Wrights Farm, will have plenty of apples on hand for pies and crumble.

If you're strapped for time, pick up a pie from Pie Lady & Son. They won't be taking any more orders but they'll have limited quantities of their Thanksgiving pies including apple pear walnut crumble, pecan, and pumpkin.

The Knife Sharpeners are back. Make sure your carving knifes are ready for the big day!

With the end of our weekly market, many vendors will make limited or no appearances in Hastings for quite some time. Found Herbal is on hand with their immunity elixir made with organic elderberry- it helps int he prevention or reduction of cold and flu symptoms. Clean Ridge Soap Company will have their soaps and other stocking stuffers. Get your holiday shopping done early!

Wil Hi Farm is visiting with their holiday goat milk soaps, lamb and yarn. Stock the freezer with ground lamb for shepherd's pie to warm the winter nights. If you are making it, we suggest replacing tomato paste with NY Chup ketchup. Trust us.

Don't run out of coffee! Grab as many bags of Big Bang Coffee Roasters as your hands can hold. You'll need all that caffeine during marathon cooking nights!

Sadly this will be Nutty Spread's last market. Load up the shopping bags with their spread and bagged nuts.

Lastly, prepared food vendors Mariachi Mexico and Alex's Crepesare back. It's going to be the last warm fall day (maybe), so grab a plate and lounge at our cafe tables while you enjoy the sounds of Milton.

See you at the market!
