This week at the market

The first Saturday of August means Samosa Shack is coming and they're bringing masala corn samosas! Locally grown corn is locally roasted and locally served warm! August brings corn AND melons! The Orchards of Concklin has lots of fresh ears of sweet corn and Taliaferro Farmstand is bringing the melons. Try cutting up the melon and serving it with Larchmont Charcuterie saucisson sec and a slice of Meredith's Bread health nut loaf- my kids loved it for their merienda (afternoon snack )

A little birdie told us Taliaferro will even have watermelon this Saturday! Be sure to grab one before they run out. The first ones of the season usually do.

Rotating vendors Hudson River Apiaries and Calcutta Kitchens are making much-anticipated appearances. We can't sing their praises enough. The apiary is bringing the honey they harvest themselves along with candles, bee pollen, and a host of other bee-related products. They are also bringing maple syrup from a nearby farm.

Calcutta Kitchens will have their full line of simmering sauces. Try the Parsi Cashew Simmer Sauce- saute some Stone & Thistle Farm chicken and Neversink Farm green beans for a quick weeknight dinner.
