May 4th Market News

We're finally outside in our usual parking lot spot, though we aren't weekly yet. The market is still twice a month until June 1st— mark your calendars now for our Summer Season opening! While we won't be at full vendor capacity until then, we're happy to have more space to spread out.

We'll need the extra space for guest vendor Sprig Flower Truck. Sprig is the  creation of Westchester local Dana Karin, a florist and flower connoisseur . Wanting to bring more beauty and color into the world, Dana conceived of the truck as a way to spread the most beautiful blossoms to the most people. She'll only be in Hastings once this season, but don't fret—one of her sources for locally grown flowers is our very own Treadlight Farm, who starts back with us in June.

Also joining us tomorrow for the first time is My Fit Bakery by Anke. with a healthier approach to sweets and treats.  Her chocolate chip cookies are "trainer approved" as they are made with oats instead of flour.  Imported, hand chopped, dark ( 70% cocoa ) Belgian chocolate adds a little decadence and a whole lot of taste!

Spring is surely here, since ramps are finally here! Head to Stone & Thistle to pick up the wild onions that grow on their land and are harvested sustainably every year by the Warren family. If you don't have time or the inclination to cook with the plant itself, Stone & Thistle will also bring ramp pest and sausage made with ramps!

See you at the market!
